Pastor T. Odell Gaskins was born January 29th,1989 in Hartford Ct. He Is a pew baby and is a son of the Bethel Apostolic Church in Middletown Ct, under the then leadership of the late Senior District Elder Marion Fennell during his formative years.

 

He committed his life to Christ in 1995, and at the early age of 6 he received the baptism of the water and of the spirit. He served as youth president, choir director and musician, but it was evident during this time the call to ministry was upon his life.

 

In 1999 at the age of 10 he preached his first sermon, and On Easter Sunday in the year 2000 he officially became a Minister in the church.

He faithfully served his church in all areas we could, continuing that service after the passing of Elder Fennell in 2004, and continuing under The Late Pastor Elizabeth McCoy the succeeding Pastor.

 

In 2008, Minister Gaskins was lead to the Apostolic Community Church of Jesus and Ministries in Meriden Ct. under the leadership of The Late Overseer Judy H. Moss. He remained faithful to all the offices of appointment including Youth President, Minister of Music, Pastoral Aid, and ultimately an Assistant Pastor. He was ordained an Elder in the Lords church in October of 2012. His unique style and ministry have caused many to call him an “Old Soul” many believing him to have been older than he actually was. He's a young man that loves the old school. 

 

On January 21st, 2011 Tyren was united in Holy Matrimony to his beautiful wife Cassandra. They are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Kyle & Ava Gaskins 

 

When he saw a need in his home city of Middletown, and after much prayer and with the guidance of his leader, he stepped out on faith and In November of 2019, founded The Citadel of Refuge Inc. (The Citadel). The Lords hand was on the work from the very beginning and countless lives have been changed and many souls have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and been baptized in His Name.

 

In June of 2020 after the transition of Overseer Judy Moss, he and The Citadel became members of the Victorious Apostolic Church Inc. Under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Raymond L. Berger. He has had the honor to travel across the country to serve in ministry along side his Bishop. He has and continues to be an ardent supporter of the work of Victorious. He serves on the Bishops advisory board, the board of Presbytery, and as a national Adjutant. In June of 2022 he was selected by the Presiding Bishop to serve as the 2nd Vice Presider of the Victorious Apostolic Churches Inc.

 

His favorite scripture is 1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

 

His mission is very simple, “To do my masters will”

His message is very clear,  “Prepare to meet thy God”.
